JHU Museums & Society Fall 2018

In the Fall of 2018, Peale Director Nancy Proctor led a course for JHU’s Museums & Society program, called “From Treasure House to Production House: Exploring New Roles for the Museum in the 21st Century.” During the course, the undergraduate students met with local high school students from the Augusta Fells Savage Institute of the Visual Arts to share their school stories and provide planning support for the #SayItLikeItIs Summit produced by the AFSIVA students at the Peale on November 28, 2018. The JHU students also published their own stories of racism and segregation in education as audio, video, and text on a range of platforms; find a selection here:
