Donations

There are many ways to help share and save Baltimore’s stories at the Peale. Your donations enable the city’s creators to produce top-quality exhibitions and programs, amplify Baltimore’s unique voices, and preserve the historic Peale Museum building as their home and showcase. Below are some of the specific initiatives you can support.

Accomplished Arts Apprenticeship program (AAA) provides training and mentorship opportunities in gallery preparation and exhibition installation as well as preservation, renovation, and related construction skills for historic buildings. The mission of Accomplished Arts Apprentices (AAA) is to increase equity & inclusive justice in the arts, creative and preservation trades with specific focus on marginalized Baltimore-based youth and young adults.

Support Peale Exhibitions and Programs

The Peale is a new kind of civic museum: not just a treasure house, but also a production house of culture. The exhibitions and programs we present are driven entirely by Baltimore’s communities and creators – they are built by and for people like you. Currently, we are proud to present The Guardians: Reshaping History at Carroll Mansion and around the city.

The Guardians is a photo documentary and storytelling project including photo portraits, large scale banners, and digital archives that celebrate unrecognized Black female leaders across Baltimore City neighborhoods. Led by artists Whitney Frazier and Kirby Griffin, this project provides a platform for women who spend their lives fighting for a better, more equitable Baltimore.

Your donations will enable The Guardians exhibition to travel to communities in Baltimore and beyond, artist/Guardian talks in schools and community centers, a second cohort of Guardians, and a podcast to preserve and share their stories worldwide.

Please send checks to The Peale, P.O. Box 1742, Baltimore, MD 21203.
